Today you have a lot of choices when buying electronics for your car. Online, warehouses, flea markets, and of course, specialty retailers like us. There is a lot of discussion about which brand is best. Truth is, there are a lot of quality brands available. We choose ours through a rigorous process of testing and, to some degree, our personal listening habits and tastes. Who wouldn’t want to sell products that they like and would use themselves?
That said, we know a lot of other folks in this business, shops that we consider our friends. Some, like us, are considered the best in the industry. But they do not all carry the same brands that we do. They have their own reasons for choosing different brands.
What does all of this mean? It’s simple. Brands are subjective. The top shops in the country will often carry different products. So what is truly important? Short answer: Installation.
There is no sidestepping the quality that a proper installation brings. You can’t fake it. Installation will make or break any mobile electronics project.

When considering an upgrade for your vehicle, make sure you pick great products. But most importantly, be sure that you are getting a top quality installation. Here are some quick tips to help you make sure that you are getting a great installation:
- Ask to see the installation facility. If they say no, that is a red flag. Is it clean and organized?
- What is being done to protect the vehicles in the bay? Are floor mats being used? Seat protection?
- Where are the panels that are removed from the vehicle being stored? Are they on the floor under the vehicle? Hopefully they are on a rack or shelf out of the way.
- Ask to see the test and calibration equipment that they use. Are you seeing any of this equipment in use on current jobs in the bay?
- Ask about the experience and certifications that the installation technicians have. While certification does not mean that they are great installers, it does show dedication to their profession and that is important.
There are many other things that you can look for in an installation facility. A lot of it is common sense. Make sure that the people who will be working on your vehicle are experts and will provide you with a professional installation that will stand the test of time. We assert that our facility can and will do just that!
