Extreme Audio Receives Industry’s Top Honors
Customization specialists take home awards for its retail location
September 26, 2013 – Mechanicsville, VA. – Extreme Audio, premier vehicle entertainment personalization specialist located in Mechanicsville, Va., received the Retailer of the Year award last month at the Mobile Electronics Industry Awards. While this is the first time the store has won the award, it has been recognized as one of the nation’s Top 50 Retailers twice and the Top 12 Retailers once.
“It’s a great honor to receive this award from our peers in the industry,” said Mike Bartells, president of Extreme Audio. “We constantly strive to improve ourselves for our clients’ benefit, and to be recognized for all the hard work is a great feeling. Constant training and improvements to our facility are a costly endeavor, but they guarantee our clients get the finished product they deserve for their hard-earned money.”
The Mobile Electronics Industry Awards is an annual recognition ceremony put on by Mobile Electronics magazine, the industry’s top trade publication. It culminates a four-month process that starts with retail locations and installation technicians nominating themselves with a video on why they should receive the industry’s top honors. From these nominations the “Top 100 Installers” and “Top 50 Retailers” are chosen.
The next stage of the process is for industry professionals at all levels to vote their choices for retailers and installers, and the highest vote-getters make up the “Top 12 Retailers” and “Top 12 Installers.” Finally, each of the Top 12 submits a detailed video, questionnaire and business and marketing information based on specific judging criteria. The magazine’s staff and unbiased judges select the winners.
Extreme Audio received the Top 50 and Top 12 awards en route to the final prizes.
Extreme Audio has been in the mobile electronics business since 1999. With more than 80 years of combined experience, their staff is well trained on all types of aftermarket vehicle entertainment products and window tinting. They work on a wide variety of vehicles and craft including personal, commercial, fleet, off-road, recreational and marine. Extreme Audio employs technicians that have been voted onto the Top 100 Installers list on three separate occasions.

Along with the awards, the store will be featured in an upcoming issue of Mobile Electronics magazine. Bartells will also participate in magazine articles and interviews designed to provide the benefits of his experience with other professionals.
